What is OHSAS?
OHSAS is a safety management system that enables an organisation to manage occupational health and safety issues as an integrated part of its overall business operations. The safety system takes into account the organisational structure, planning activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures and resources for developing, implementing, achieving, reviewing and maintaining the organisation’s occupational health and safety policy.

Workplace Risk Assessment
Manufacturing, shipbuilding, construction companies are required to comply with Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSH). Under this act, it is mandatory for businesses to log online with MOM to report all incidents, including near misses, investigate the causes and recommend preventive measures.
Industries such as Food and Beverage, Health Care, Hotels, Veterinary Medicine, Transportation and Maintenance sectors are among the new industries to be included under the WSH act.
